The railing that surrounds the deck part in our backyard has rotted. The current railing is wood and has seen better days, it has been pieced together for a year or two now. So we made the trek to Menards, actually I think the car would go there on it's own.
It was a hard decision, we couldn't decide which product to use. We finally concluded we would use an aluminum product, it wont rust and it wont snap in a harsh winter. It was also on sale! However they didn't have all the parts and pieces that we needed. You also have to special order a gate. So maybe we could fabricate something out of aluminum to work.
Dad had traveled over to help us out with the project. So we all traveled back to the house an started on a section of railing. It was slow going, but once we figured it all out it all seems to snap together really well.
So right now we just have one completed section. It seems really sturdy.
